The lack of a safe pedestrian crossing on the Burke Road North roundabout is putting our lives directly in harms way.

This campaign is vital for the residents of Eaglemont & East Ivanhoe, as our lifestyle is directly impacted due to a lack of safe access to transport, schools, pre-schools, shops, playgrounds, and other
community infrastructure.

The safety of pedestrians at this roundabout has been an ongoing issue for more than two decades and the situation gets worse year on year. Now more than ever we need a show of community strength to
support ongoing dialogue with key decision makers. We want to use the National Walk Safely to School Day, which aims to raise awareness of pedestrian safety for children and promotes environmentally-friendly transport, to send a strong message to Vicroads, the Banyule City Council, and the State Government.
