Now you have your Walking Action Group (WAG) you have the opportunity to have your own mini ‘website’ on this site.  Check out the Walking Action Groups on this site and see what is possible.

Why set up WAG ‘website’

If a WAG joins in it:

  • Gets its own website pages and public profile at no cost
  • Can post your own news, events, blogs and resources
  • Can share ideas, successes and learnings with other WAGs
  • Will be part of something new, exciting and unique.
  • Will bring about real change in the community.
  • Get lots more!

What a WAG needs to get web pages

Each group will need one person to become the ‘web-site administrator’ to load information and content on the site about their group. The administrator:

  • Will be trained and supported by Victoria Walks.
  • Should be someone who feels confident with computers.
  • Does not need to be a member of a WAG (e.g. could be a WAG’s family member or another volunteer at Neighbourhood house etc).

How Victoria Walks will support you

Victoria Walks will provide

  • On line and telephone support 3 days a week.
  • A webinar (a meeting or presentation via the internet) on using the site.
  • If WAGs are interested, Victoria Walks can invite WAGs to come to Carlton to meet each other and receive some website training.
  • Where possible, Victoria Walks website support may be able to visit your WAG in person.
