Who to deal with

When you’ve worked out what needs to change in your neighbourhood with your walking audit, and worked out what you can do yourself, you may have identified some issues or problems where you need outside help.

There are different levels of government and entities that have responsibilities in this area, and it can be hard to know who to talk to.

This section of our website aims to make it easier for you to find out which body you need to approach for different issues, and how to go about talking to them.

FYI: Responsibility for streets and roads and the way in which they are constructed, maintained, monitored and managed sits with local government (your council) or the state government (primarily through VicRoads).
