Walk to School 2012 is being organised by VicHealth.

Please visit their website to find out more.

Victoria Walks to School is an initiative to promote more walking in your school community. Walking to school is an active and fun way to keep children healthy, connect with friends and neighbours, reduce traffic congestion, save money and help the environment.
In 2011, nearly 60,000 children from over 300 schools joined in the fun! A special 'thank you' to all the teachers, parents, principals and councils for helping to put children on the right track to a healthy future.
Congratulations to Drummond Primary School & Baliang East Primary School for winning the coveted Golden Shoe Award! Congratulations also to a host of other schools that won a sports carnival and Hart Sport equipment vouchers. See more prize winners.
Victoria Walks:
More than 80% of participating schools want more information and activities to encourage children to walk more often. This is a great sign that our communities are keen to encourage children to become more physically active.
