We launch Victorian Walking Survey17 Nov 2021
Living locally means more now, with successive Covid lockdowns having kept many Victorians confined to our neighbourhoods much more than we've ever been previously.
You probably know your suburb or town a lot better, including the things that inspire you to walk more often, and those that make walking a less appealing option.
So now that you know it so well, what do you think about walking in your neighbourhood? Is it good, bad - ugly even?
With support from a range of local councils and other stakeholders, Victoria Walks has launched the Victorian Walking Survey to capture a sense of whether our streets, parks and suburbs are working to provide you with options to keep active in your daily life.
Our 10-minute survey will be open from 17 November to 15 December 2021. It asks what you think about walking in your area. Victoria Walks will use the results to understand things that are working and those that aren’t, and to put the case for action to make our towns and suburbs easier, safer and more pleasant to walk in.
Regardless of how much you walk, your thoughts and experiences are valuable. Let us know what you think!
