East Ivanhoe WAG - Roadside Furniture Toll - February 2010

The Burke Road North Roundabout in East Ivanhoe has experienced yet another vehicle run-over resulting in roadside furniture and roundabout infrastructure being damaged. 

Such occurrences are not unusual and further highlight the inherent safety risk to pedestrians at this extremely dangerous intersection. A flawed roundabout design, coupled with excessive traffic volumes and high speed make the lack of a SAFE crossing mechanism for pedestrians at this precinct an untenable situation.
