The East Ivanhoe WAG’s Burke Road North roundabout pedestrian safety campaign has recently been debated in both houses of the Victorian Parliament, read more.

Carlton South Walkers have begun their campaign to address some key walkability issues in their area, particularly the pedestrian crossing on Victoria Street from Spring St to the Exhibition Gardens. See their YouTube videos that show how it takes over 2 minutes to cross Victoria St!  

Under the auspice of Knox Community Health Service, the Bayswater West Community Hub Action Group has celebrated its recent success in gaining an allocation of $25,000 from Knox City Council as part of its budget process for 2009. This amount is to be matched by $25,000 from Department of Transport (LAAP program), read more.

Walktober Walk-to-School is on again in 2009!

- WTS logoVicHealth invites all primary schools across Victoria to take part in the annual event that gets children walking to school on Wednesday 21 October.

Last year over 60,000 children hit the pavement and walked to school on the day.

VicHealth encourages students, primary schools, parents and the local community to get involved.
