Victoria Walks supports school communities to motivate and encourage students, families and staff to become healthier, happier and more active by walking. We provide a range of services and educational resources for both primary and secondary schools.

Former VicHealth CEO Jerril Richter said in reponse to our Change to Walking program: “Walking to school is an obvious way to boost activity but we know that about 70 per cent of parents who travel with their kids to school do so by car, even those who live within 750 metres of school.”

Research shows that children who walk to school are healthier and are more able to concentrate during the school day.
